The St. Joe Co. of Jacksonville,
Fla., promoted Britt Greene to
chief operating officer and Chris Corr to chief strategy officer.
Greene was previously the president of St. Joe Towns &
Resorts and president of St. Joe Commercial, while Corr had
been JOE's senior vice president of strategic planning.
Greene has more than two decades of experience in real estate
development, finance and management. Corr has served as senior
vice president of strategic planning since 2004. He joined
St. Joe in 1998 as vice president of public affairs.
Steven G. Laux was named area
general manager for Skanska USA Building
in Atlanta. Laux previously served as vice president and regional
manager of operations for Gilbane Building Co. in Columbus,
Ohio.
C. Howard Nye was elected president
and chief operating officer of Martin
Marietta Materials of Raleigh, N.C. Nye, who was executive
vice president of Hanson Aggregates North America for the
past three years, will have responsibility for the company's
operating units and operations services functions.
Nye has 13 years of experience in the aggregates industry.
Kathy S. Babb was hired by
Bovis Lend Lease of Charlotte
as vice president and senior business developer for health
care in the Carolinas. In this role, Babb will oversee the
pursuit and acquisition of health-care work for the company's
Carolina offices in Charlotte and Raleigh, N.C.
Bill Hogan has been promoted
to vice president, aviation, at Reynolds,
Smith and Hills in Jacksonville, Fla. He will lead
the aviation program's national marketing and business development
efforts. RS&H also hired Joe Abbas as transit service
group leader in the firm's transportation program.
Additionally, Brian Reed, senior vice president of aviation,
was named to the firm's board of directors.
Rebecca Ashby and Bradley
Lunz were promoted to associates in the Tampa office
of Baker Barrios Architects.
Both Ashby and Lunz are project architects, and both joined
the firm in 2005.
HuntonBrady Architects of Orlando
promoted Steve Belflower to
principal and Paul Macheske
to associate principal. Belflower has worked as an associate
principal with the firm for three years.
Macheske is the director of health-care architecture at HuntonBrady.
Carolina Cubides, James
Wright and Michelle Lightbourne
have joined consulting firm Miller
Legg of Pembroke Pines, Fla., as project engineers.
Cubides and Wright will work in the land development sector
of the firm's civil engineering department. Lightbourne will
work in the traffic and transportation sector.
Jeremy M. DiPiazza has joined
Hoar Construction, Orlando,
as vice president of finance. He was formerly executive vice
president and regional credit director with Regions Financial
Corp.
John T. Suskey has been named
controller at Roger B. Kennedy Inc.
of Altamonte Springs. He has 21 years of financial management
experience, including 13 years with construction companies.
GreenbergFarrow, an Atlanta-based
architecture, engineering and development services firm, announced
the opening of a new office in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Daniel W. Sharpe will head up operations, serving as
regional manager and senior associate.
Sharpe was previously senior vice president of site development
and construction for DeBartolo Development in the company's
Scottsdale, Ariz., Cleveland and Tampa offices.
Other staff at the new office includes Daniel
Waguespack, who serves as senior site development coordinator;
and Cindy K. Tobin, who is senior
site planner.
HNTB Corp. announced changes
and promotions within the Southeast division's corporate leadership
team.
Scott Butzen succeeds Jim
Anglin in the role of division president. He will maintain
two office locations within the Southeast, in Atlanta and
Lake Mary, Fla.
Anglin was named director of special projects.
In other division news, Dennis Gowins
was named structures department manager and lead for the firm's
bridge and tunnel service line. Gowins comes to the Lake Mary
office from the firm's Baton Rouge office, where he served
as the structures department manager.
Also in Lake Mary, the firm hired Timothy
Vavra as a senior drainage engineer in the highway
design group.
Bill Dumas and Dack
Vaught have joined Clancy and
Theys Construction Co. of Orlando as project managers.
Dumas has 16 years of commercial construction experience,
and Vaught has nine years of experience.
The company also appointed Mike Bell
as general superintendent, Gary Jerkins
as superintendent, Garth McIntosh
as assistant superintendent and Anthony
Harmon as project coordinator.
PSI hired John
Clary as a project specialist and Ronald
Cooperwoood as a staff specialist in its Orlando operations
office.
Richard Haffner was named branch
manager for PSI's Lake Buena Vista special project office.
Bill Shelton was named service
manager at the Clearwater office of Orlando-based Mechanical
Services Inc.
In Orlando, MSI appointed Todd Wagman
as field operations supervisor.
McMahon Associates, a transportation
engineering and planning firm, hired Adam
K. Maze as senior project manager/design section leader
in its Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., offices. In the firm's Miami
offices, Juan Carlos Villalba
was named senior project manager, and Sunil
Chandra Doddapaneni was hired as a project engineer.
Dan Weisser was named senior
process analyst for Woolbright Development
in Boca Raton, Fla.
G. S. "Steve" Arnold
was promoted to executive vice president of design/construction
services for Flagler|Codina Development,
Jacksonville, Fla. Flagler|Codina is the commercial real estate
operation of Florida East Coast Industries.
Previously vice president of design and construction for
Flagler Development Co., Arnold will now be responsible for
the management of the design/construction team on all projects
across all Flagler|Codina markets.
John Stull has joined United
Forming in Austell, Ga., as operations manager of the
company's newly formed specialty systems division, which will
specialize in tunnel-forming projects. Stull previously worked
with Total Concrete Structures of Atlanta.
Adrian B. Share has joined
the Orlando office of Wilbur Smith
Associates as senior vice president and regional manager
of the Florida and Caribbean region. Share has more than 24
years experience in transportation consulting. Prior to joining
WSA, he served as chief operating officer of Nodarse and Associates.
Chip Bullock was promoted to
principal and managing director for CUH2A's
Atlanta office. Bullock has more than 20 years experience
planning and designing research facilities for academic and
government institutions.
Timothy A. Hulton has joined
Ustler Development in Orlando
as senior vice president and chief operating officer. His
responsibilities will include senior project management and
growth of various Ustler Development entities.
Teresa Townsend has joined
Carter & Burgess as a senior
transportation planner in the Orlando transportation programs
unit. She has more than 12 years of project management and
supervisory experience in the planning and social sciences
fields.
Lee J. Poechmann has been appointed
associate at Cannon Design in
Jacksonville, Fla. He first joined the firm in 2003.
Suria Yaffar has been named
a principal at Miami-based architecture firm Zyscovich,
where she serves as director of design.
David B. Twedell was named
vice president of ep3, an environmental
engineering firm in Winter Park, Fla. Twedell, a founder of
the firm, has more than 26 years of experience in the environmental
industry.
Fernando Tienzo and
Ray Vista have joined The Scott
Partnership Architecture and Interiors , Orlando, as
project coordinators in the firm's residential high-rise team.
Danny Rogers was promoted to
senior associate at Foster Conant &
Associates, an Orlando-based landscape architecture
firm.
Dave Maxam has joined Ellis
& Associates of Jacksonville, Fla., as senior geologist.
He has more than 18 years of experience conducting environmental
assessments, compliance inspections and remedial activities.
Larry Silber was named president
of Ingersoll Rand's utility
equipment division in Davidson, N.C. He will also maintain
his current responsibility for sales to the rental industry
for the company's construction technologies and compact vehicle
technologies sectors.
Phillip A. Smith has joined
Charlotte-based Crosland as
vice president-development manager in the company's Tampa
office. He will be responsible for the development, design
and construction of Crosland's multifamily rental communities.
Frank Sanchez was named president
and chief executive officer of Renaissance
Steel, Tampa, a provider of structural light gauge
steel building systems. Prior to this appointment, Sanchez
was with CM Partners, an international business consulting
firm.
Joseph Clark was named general
superintendent at Tecbuild of
Altamonte Springs.
Tecbuild, formerly known as Rosewood Development Corp., is
a licensed general contracting company and wholly owned subsidiary
of Emerson International.
Barbara A. Harris was named
director, emergency planning services at Orlando-based
Beck Disaster Recovery, a program management firm specializing
in disaster preparedness, emergency operations, recovery and
redevelopment planning.
Jairo A. Quintero has joined
architecture firm Borges + Associates
of Miami as an associate and construction administrator. He
has 25 years of construction experience.
Sean M. Parks was named operations
manager of the new Orlando office of Environmental
Services Inc., an environmental consulting firm.
He has more than 11 years of experience related to ecology,
planning and landscape architecture.
